Network Services
Wayne RESA provides three levels of system/network support to its clients: host, local and wide area networks, and telecommunications. Technical assistance for Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN) includes support for administrative networks and installing file servers and software as it relates to RESA application software. All three areas maintain the integrity of data, database structure and security on our systems. RESA system support technicians also participate on district technology planning teams providing technical assistance.

Technology Planning
Technology planning is federally mandated for local school agencies seeking technology funding from federal programs, including the Universal Service Fund (E-Rate) and No Child Left Behind legislation (Ed-Tech Guide). Michigan's Technology Readiness Resources page includes the Michigan Educational Technology Standards (METS) - K-8 Checklist by Grade Levels.
Schools and Libraries Program
The Schools and Libraries Program of the Universal Service Fund makes discounts available to eligible schools and libraries for telecommunication services, Internet access, and internal connections. The program is intended to ensure that schools and libraries have access to affordable telecommunications and information services. The Schools and Libraries Program reimburses telecommunications,
Internet access, and internal connections providers for discounts on eligible services provided to schools and libraries. While schools and libraries apply for these discounts, USAC works in conjunction with service providers to make sure these discounts are passed on to program participants.
E-Rate Central
E-Rate Central specializes in providing consulting, compliance, and forms processing services to E-rate applicants and service providers.
