Postsecondary Navigation

The Wayne RESA Postsecondary Success Navigator helps provide navigational support for referred recent graduates of the Career Counseling initiative. Post secondary navigators empower alumni to build and pursue their unique career roadmap, develop resiliencies to cope with the challenges of transition, gain courage to advocate for themselves, and cultivate a network to support their goals.

Additionally, the Postsecondary Success Navigator helps to support the Department of Workforce Development by enhancing partnerships with traditional and non-traditional postsecondary programs as well as workforce partners. Through a collaborative approach we’re able to increase awareness and access to opportunities and create the talent pipelines to address the workforce demands of the present and future.

Support includes

  • Ongoing career exploration counseling for undecided youth.
  • Resource building to address barriers to success.
  • Summer Elevate Program to assist with summer enrollment steps for postsecondary programs.
  • Connections to Peer Mentors as well as Professionals In Industry related to career goals.
  • Career development educational workshops and resource sharing.

I greatly appreciate you checking in on me. You have kept my motivation and spirits for college alive!
X.B. (Henry Ford College student)
