Title IX
The board of education is committed to maintaining a learning/working environment in which all individuals are treated with dignity and respect, free from illegal discrimination and harassment. There will be no tolerance for discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, marital status, genetic information, disability, age, or any other basis prohibited by law. The Board of Education has adopted anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies that prohibit illegal discrimination and harassment in the ISD's programs and activities by, among others, Board members, ISD employees, and students. A student, employee, or any other person who believes a student or employee has been the victim of illegal discrimination or harassment may seek resolution of the matter through the procedures that follow. Alleged discrimination and harassment other than sexual harassment will be investigated and resolved pursuant to 5030.1-R or 5030.2-R. Sexual harassment against employees and students will be investigated and resolved pursuant to 5030.2-R, as required by Title IX and its implementing regulations.
